LAGBAC Mentoring Program – Legal Professional Application

Thank you very much for your interest in participating in the LAGBAC Mentoring program. Please fill out this brief questionnaire below. We will use this information to help pair members and contact pairs throughout the program. To join the program please make sure that your LAGBAC dues are up to date by registering/renewing online at: https://lagbac.org/join/.
Legal professionals participating in the Mentorship program will have the opportunity to receive CLE credit through the Illinois Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism. To qualify, each legal professional must serve as a Mentor for a law student, as well as be paired with another Attorney (dependent on your years of practice and subject to completion of an Orientation/8 meetings with each other). Although the non-student pairings will be subject to more requirements than the student pairings, legal professionals who successfully complete the program will receive a full 6 hours of professional responsibility CLE credit! These credits can also be used to meet the first-year Basic Skills CLE requirements. To learn more about the Illinois Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism and its commitment to mentorship, please visit their website here: https://www.2civility.org/mentoring/.
The program officially begins in September of each year, but accepts applications year round on a rolling basis. We will be announcing various Mentorship events throughout the year, so keep an eye out for emails detailing those events in the near future. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Chair of the Mentorship Program, Jared Reynolds, at jreynolds@lagbac.org.
