The Hon. Sandra R. Otaka was a founding member of the Alliance of Illinois Judges (AIJ), Illinois’s LGBTQ+ and Allied Judges Organization. She was a fierce advocate of LGBTQ+ rights and had a keen appreciation of coalition building. LAGBAC is proud to sponsor and co-host this event celebrating Asian American Judges in the judiciary named in the Hon. Sandra R. Otaka’s honor and memory.
