Part-Time Intellectual Property Litigation Staff Attorney

FlavaWorks Entertainment, Inc. is a Chicago-based media company with an active and growing intellectual property portfolio. The company regularly pursues copyright and trademark litigation to protect its content from unauthorized use and online infringement.

FlavaWorks is seeking a Part-Time Intellectual Property Litigation Staff Attorney to serve as the company’s primary legal resource for copyright, trademark, and intellectual property litigation matters. This role is well-suited for a junior to mid-level attorney seeking meaningful federal litigation experience with a flexible, part-time schedule and the opportunity to grow with the company.

The attorney will manage copyright and intellectual property cases filed in federal court, including matters before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Responsibilities include:

• Drafting, filing, and managing copyright and intellectual property lawsuits
• Preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and other court filings
• Appearing at court hearings and proceedings as required
• Managing cases through settlement or other resolution
• Advising on intellectual property enforcement strategy and litigation planning

This position may be performed on a hybrid or remote basis, with optional access to the company’s Chicago office. Court appearances in Chicago are required when applicable.

Compensation consists of an hourly rate plus contingency participation tied to successful settlements or judgments.
