The “Billable Hour” Returns on Friday, November 16: Join your fellow lawyers, judges, and law students at Downtown Bar & Lounge, 440 N. State Street, on Friday, November 16 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. for LAGBAC’s “Billable Hour” networking event! In an effort to host more events closer to the loop, LAGBAC is joining up with Downtown Bar & Lounge to host quarterly events, where members will receive two free drink tickets, and guests can enjoy the same for just $5! Join us on Friday, and kick off your weekend celebrations with your favorite legal professionals.
Chicago LGBT Medical/Legal Holiday Mixer on Thursday, December 6: Please join LAGBAC and the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association at Taverna 750, 750 W Cornelia Avenue, on Thursday, December 6 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. for the second annual “Medical/Legal Holiday Mixer.” Start the Holiday Season with your peers in medicine and law for a mixer in support of Equality Illinois’ statewide LGBT-rights work. Come out of the cold for an evening of networking, socializing, craft cocktails, delicious food, and door prizes (including four $50 dollar Visa gift cards). No matter if you’re a student, resident, or seasoned professional, come meet some new faces. Tickets are just $10 and include two cocktails and appetizers. LAGBAC Visits Second City to see “The Best of The Second City” on Saturday, January 19: Please join LAGBAC to see Second City’s hilarious matinée show at 1616 N. Wells Street on Saturday, January 19 at 4:00 p.m. “The Best of The Second City” features some of the best sketches, songs, and improvisations from the company’s fifty-two year history.
