2012 LAGBAC BOARD ELECTIONS

By June 14, 2012February 8th, 2013No Comments

LAGBAC needs motivated legal professionals — practitioners and students alike — to serve on the Board of Directors. Terms begin on July 1, 2012. Practitioner Board Members are elected for two-year terms; law student Board Members are then appointed for one year terms. Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings, heading Committees, and organizing and participating in LAGBAC events and programs. Board membership presents incomparable opportunities to make a difference in the local LGBT community.

Those interested in becoming Board Members should submit a brief bio for distribution to the general membership to whall@lagbac.org by June 15, 2012. The bio should include past involvement in LAGBAC and other LGBT activities and the reasons for seeking a Board position. Ballots will be made available to the general membership by June 18, 2012, with instructions for returning them. If you have questions about the role of a Board Member, go to lagbac.org and feel free to contact any current Board Member at their lagbac.org email address.
