The LGBT Rights Committee of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI) and LAGBAC invite all Hispanic LGBT attorneys and law students to an evening/soireé/velada “Velada entre amigos y colegas.” The event will be on April 30, 2013 from 5:30pm to 7:30 p.m. at Quarles & Brady, 300 N. LaSalle Street, Suite 4000, Chicago, Illinois 60654. Our guest speaker at this event will be Angélica López, a former HLAI scholarship recipient and one of the plaintiffs in the civil lawsuit against the State of Illinois’s provision that prevents marriages for same sex couples.
